Privacy Policy
The short version
The app has no account, no login and no server of its own. It never asks for your name, ID number, bank details, payslips, password or one-time PIN. Everything you type into the calculators, tick on the checklist or bookmark stays on your phone and disappears when you uninstall the app.
The single exception is advertising. The app shows adverts through Google AdMob, and the Google Mobile Ads SDK reads a device advertising identifier to do so. Section 3 explains this in full.
1. No loan applications and no applicant data
Because this app is not a credit provider, agent or broker, it deliberately contains no application form and no way to send information to any lender. In particular the app never asks for, collects, transmits or stores:
- your name, ID number, date of birth, email address, phone number or home address;
- your employer, salary, payslips, bank statements or any proof of income;
- bank account numbers, card numbers or any financial account details;
- passwords, PINs or one-time PINs;
- contacts, SMS messages, call logs, photos, files, camera input or location.
The app declares a single Android permission, INTERNET, so that adverts and a small
configuration file can be fetched. It does not request access to contacts, SMS, call logs, storage,
photos, the camera, the microphone or precise location, and it cannot read them.
2. Information kept on your device only
The following is written to local app storage on your phone. It is never uploaded, never synced and never visible to the developer or anyone else.

Calculator inputs are held only while a screen is open and are not written to storage. All local data is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its storage in Android settings.
3. Advertising
The app is free and is supported by adverts supplied by Google AdMob. To serve and measure adverts and to limit how often you see the same one, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process:
- the device advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID);
- device information such as model, operating-system version and language;
- coarse, IP-derived location at country or region level;
- advert interaction events, such as an impression or a click.
This data is collected by Google, not by the developer. The developer never receives it and cannot link it to you. Google's handling of it is described in the Google Privacy & Terms.
Your choices
- Where the law requires consent, the app shows a consent form from Google's User Messaging Platform before any advert is requested. You can review or withdraw that consent at any time from Settings → Privacy choices inside the app.
- You can reset or delete the advertising identifier, and opt out of advert personalisation, in your device settings under Settings → Google → Ads.
- Adverts never appear on calculator input screens, and you may pause all adverts for a period by choosing to watch one rewarded advert in Settings.
4. Network requests
The app makes exactly three kinds of outbound request, all over HTTPS:
- Advert configuration. A small JSON file is fetched so adverts can be switched on or off without an app update. The request carries no information about you.
- Advert serving. Requests made by the Google Mobile Ads SDK, described in section 3.
- This page. Tapping the privacy-policy button on the About screen opens this page in your own browser. It is the only outbound link in the app.
Cleartext (non-HTTPS) traffic is disabled at the platform level.
5. Children
The app is intended for adults considering or repaying consumer credit and is not directed at children under 18. The developer does not knowingly collect any information from children; the app collects no personal information from anyone.
6. Retention and deletion
No personal data leaves your device, so there is nothing for the developer to retain or delete on a server. Local data is removed by uninstalling the app or clearing its storage. For data held by Google in connection with advertising, use the Google controls linked above.
7. Your rights
Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) in South Africa and comparable laws elsewhere, you have rights of access, correction, deletion and objection over personal information held about you. Because this app holds no personal information about you on any server, those rights are met by the on-device controls above. If you believe otherwise, write to the address in section 10.
8. Accuracy of the content
The guide, figures and calculators are educational estimates based on information the lender has published. They are not a quotation, an offer, a statement of any loan balance, or financial or legal advice. Rates, fees and rules change. Only the lender's own pre-agreement statement and quotation states what a loan will cost, and applications are made only through the lender's own channels.
9. Changes to this policy
Changes will be published at this address with a new effective date. Material changes will also be mentioned in the app's release notes.
